The brief was to define a tangible input and output to make 2 things communicate remotely. We chose to cheat on the concept of teleportation.
We used two bolts, one attached to a rotary encoder and the other to a stepper motor. They were hidden in their own wooden box, and communicate with each other through an ethernet cable.
We were given a protocol so we could then swap inputs and outputs with the tangible artifacts of the other teams in the class.
This project was part of Tangible Webz, tutored by David and Adam from Tellart, and it was part of the experience prototyping course.
